Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Accountant to manage employee compensation, tax deductions, payroll processing, and compliance with Indian labour laws. The ideal candidate should have expertise in payroll management, tax calculations, statutory compliance, and employee benefits administration. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with financial, tax, and labour regulations, and collaborating with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process monthly payroll, including salaries, bonuses, overtime, and deductions.
- Ensure TDS, EPF, ESI, and professional tax compliance as per Indian regulations.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, salary slips, and reconciliation reports.
- Calculate overtime, leave encashment, incentives, and other allowances.
- Assist in income tax planning, payroll audits, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with minimum wage laws, labour laws, and statutory guidelines.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to process payroll adjustments and employee benefits.
- Generate payroll reports for financial planning and audit purposes.
- Stay updated with Indian tax laws, labour laws, and government payroll regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Payroll certification is a plus).
- 2-5 years of experience in payroll processing, taxation, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of payroll software (Zoho Payroll, Tally, SAP, QuickBooks).
- Expertise in TDS, EPF, ESI, professional tax, and payroll tax laws.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
